Description

The Rita was delineated in late 1946 although it is dated January 1947. This theater was built and the building still stands today. The shops to the right of the theater were built very similarly to what was rendered. This was the first proposal and Syufy (the owner) did not like it and wanted changes. Instead of producing the entire rendering over again William Willoughby, the delineator,  signed his initials, WJW jr., in the curb. He did the theater front only and pinned it onto this rendering and if you look closely you can see the overall color of the rendering is slightly off-white where the theater itself is sharp white which shows a different style.
