Form Function Art

My love for modern design grew from watching my dad develop commercial and residential projects. Strong, horizontal lines have always caught my eye and to me, objects parallel to the earth create a feeling of rest and repose. Frank Lloyd Wright used a lot of parallel lines in his work because he wanted his designs to blend in with nature and their surroundings.

All of the items on this web site are available to buy and consist of original vintage design art, architectural renderings, industrial designs, and automotive illustrations. While most of the drawings were created by the hand of the designer, others were made by delineators that were hired for the purpose of recreating in their style. Some of the pieces included in my collections are “Googie” style & Atomic age drawings that have amazing detail and, in some instances, look like a photograph. Architectural renderings were never intended to be collected or sold for profit. As computers and CAD software became more widely used, the art of perspective drawings was replaced by technology. The increased scarcity of these aging techniques created value in the delineations.

Although I didn’t follow exactly in my dad’s footsteps, I have his enthusiasm for engineering, design, and architecture in my DNA. I wanted to share my passion and the pieces I have acquired with the world through Form Function Art, LLC.
