Description
This rendering of a vintage Holiday Inn is dated 1954 which would have been two years after the first Inn opened in Memphis, TN in 1952. This one also had what would become to be known as the iconic “Great Sign” with a changeable marquee. The layout also reflects an earlier design prior to the era of a two-level square design with the cloverleaf swimming pool in the center courtyard.
